Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, while addressing the All India Executive Board meeting, stated, “India is already a Hindu Rashtra, and it will remain so in the future too.” He further underlined the viewpoint of the organisation, citing the words of the founder of RSS, Dr Hedgewar, who had asserted that as long as there are Hindus in the country, it remains a Hindu nation.

In response to the question of when India would turn into a Hindu Rashtra, Dattatreya Hosabale said that Hindutva is built on the principle of caring for the country’s unity and working towards the betterment of society. He emphasised that the RSS works towards making people acknowledge the fact that India’s identity is that of a Hindu Rashtra, and therefore, the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra is unnecessary.

Moreover, he raised concerns regarding the growing trend of division along the ‘north versus south’ lines, emphasising the RSS’s stance against any attempts to weaken the country through such tactics. Hosabale also brought attention to the challenges posed by ‘cultural Marxism and wokeism’, echoing sentiments previously voiced by RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat.

Hosabale also discussed the plans for a nation-wide door-to-door campaign by RSS workers, scheduled to take place between January 1-15, 2024, and to extend invitations to the public for the inauguration of the Ram temple at Ayodhya on January 22. Moreover, he addressed the issue of the migration of Hindus from border villages and added that the RSS was working on the development and security of these regions.

The meeting also saw discussions on the progress that has been made by the RSS with regards to its expansion plans and set up ‘shakhas’ (branches) in all 59,060 ‘mandals’ of the country by 2025, in line with the organisation’s upcoming centenary celebrations. Dattatreya Hosabale said that the RSS has over 95,000 shakhas in nearly 38,000 mandals.

Dattatreya Hosabale also took up the issue of “Love Jihad” and added that conspiracy was being hatched to convert Hindu women to Islam by forcing them to undertake inter-faith marriages.

He added that RSS was also working towards the rehabilitation of those women who were victims of love-jihad and were disowned by their families.

The meeting was attended by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Bhagwat and other senior leaders, along with 357 RSS leaders from across the nation.
