Uttar Pradesh: Police arrested 55-year-old Peer Mohammad who raped 9-year-old girl

The accused has been booked under sections of the POCSO Act based on the minor's statement

In a shocking case that unfolded on November 5, in the Khiro police station area of Rae Bareli district in Uttar Pradesh, police arrested a 55-year-old Muslim man was arrested for raping a 9-year-old girl. The accused has been identified as Peer Mohammad. As per the reports, Mohammad lured the minor child to the field nearby where he raped her. After raping the minor he left her in the pool of blood and fled the scene, after the locals recovered her the case came to light. Following the statement of the minor the accused has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC with sections of the POCSO Act.

The minor girl somehow managed to make it back to her home and immediately informed her parents about the harrowing incident. She was swiftly taken to the hospital in a critical condition, where she received initial medical attention at District Hospital Rae Bareli. Subsequently, she was referred to the Lucknow Trauma Center for further care.

According to reports, the minor girl had been playing near her residence when the perpetrator approached and lured her to a field approximately 1 kilometer away, where he committed the heinous act. Following the assault, the 55-year-old suspect, Peer Mohammed, fled the scene.

Law enforcement was promptly alerted about the incident. Superintendent of Police Alok Priyadarshi promptly arrived at the location and initiated a thorough investigation. An FIR has been lodged based on the family’s complaint.

According to a statement from the Uttar Pradesh police, they were alerted to the incident at approximately 9:45 PM when the father of the child reported that a 55-year-old resident from their village had assaulted his daughter. A substantial police presence swiftly arrived at the scene to conduct a thorough inquiry. The victim was promptly admitted to the hospital, and four specialized teams were mobilized to apprehend the accused.
