“Today our country is witnessing historical achievements and decisions. A few days ago, half of the country’s population received great strength in the form of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act. The Women’s Reservation Bill, which was pending for the past 30 years, has now been passed by both houses with record votes. This decision was taken in the first session of the country’s new Parliament. In a way, the new future of the country has started in the new Parliament,” he said.

PM Modi said, “The country has resolved to become a developed India by 2047. In the next few years, we are going to be the third-largest economy… In this period, every govt employee is going to play a huge role. You always need to work with a citizen-first spirit. You are part of a generation which has grown up with technology….You need to use the technology in your work domain.”

“Over the last 9 years, our plans have paved the way to achieve even bigger goals. Our policies are based on a New Mindset, Content Monitoring, Mission Mode Implementation and Mass Participation. In 9 years the Government has implemented policies on a mission mode”, PM said.

“In the last nine years, you have witnessed how technological transformation can ease governance. Earlier, people used to stand in queues at the booking counters of railway stations. Technology has overcome this problem. Aadhaar cards, digital lockers and eKYC have eliminated the complexity of documentation… With technology, corruption has decreased and credibility has increased…”, PM Modi addressed new appointees.

PM Modi said,”Today, India’s GDP is growing rapidly amid difficulties in the global economy. There has been a huge increase in our production and exports. The amount of investment the country is making today in its modern infrastructure has never been done before”. “When millions of youth like you join government services, the speed and scale of implementing policies also increase,” says PM Modi.

The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 680 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.

PM Modi, on October 22, last year, launched the ‘Rozgar Mela’, marking the beginning of the campaign to provide 10 lakh Government jobs.

The recruitment drive is taking place across Union Government departments as well as State Governments and UTs. The new recruits who received appointments today will be joining the Government in various Ministries/Departments including the Department of Posts, the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, the Department of Atomic Energy, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others.
