Yet another case of love jihad has come to light in Madhya Pradesh. Mohammad Amir, a native of the Neemuch district, met a Hindu woman, a native of Ujjain, a few months ago. They had been in a relationship where Amir sexually exploited her on the pretext of marriage. He even introduced her to his family, who posed as Sharma’s. Now that the victim has found his true identity, a case has been registered against the accused and his family.

Upon reaching Neemuch victim found the truth

Amir stayed in a live-in relationship with the woman for four months and introduced his father, Arif, to the woman and her family as Mohanlal Sharma. To set up a shop of key and locks, he also took two lakh rupees from the woman. When she reached Neemuch a few days ago, she came to know that Amar’s real name is Amir and since then he started pressurising her to convert.

The duo met at a fair

As per the media reports, the police said that the woman living in the police station area used to set up a shop in the fair. The accused, Amir had also set up a shop at the fair organised in Neemuch (Every March). The duo get to know each other at the fair only. The accused man introduced himself as Amar Sharma. After which the duo started talking to each other.

Exploited on the pretext of marriage

Amar tricked the woman into getting married and said that he wanted to set up a shop in Ujjain itself. After this, he reached her house in Ujjain on March 22, this year. Where he raped her and started living in with her. After this, he stayed in Ujjain for four months and had physical relationship with the woman.

Left all of a sudden

On July 23, Amar told the woman that he wants to set up a shop in Mandsaur and hence he left. Since then, he switched off his mobile. The distressed woman had gone to Mandsaur to meet him. When they met, the woman discussed about their marriage, to which he said that the financial condition was not good at the time. Hence, they cannot get married then. After this, he came to Ujjain with the woman and went to Neemuch on August 5. He had said that on August 7 he would come to Ujjain with his family and get married. Since then his mobile is switched off.

Woman found he was Amir not Amar

When the woman reached Neemuch on August 12 in search of Amar, the house of Amar alias Amir was found there in Naya Bazar Band Wali Gali. Where she comes to know that Amar’s real name was Aamir and that he belongs to the Muslim community. Amir told the woman that he would marry her only after she accepts Islam. On refusing, he also threatened to kill her.

Introduced his father as Mohanlal Sharma

The woman told the police that Amir had introduced his father, Arif, to her and her relatives as Mohanlal Sharma. Apart from this, he also borrowed two lakh rupees from her in the name of setting up a shop for key rings. In the complaint filed by the woman, the police have registered a case against the accused Aamir under Section 376 (rape), 376n (repeated rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and Section 5 of the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act.
