Kerala: Sabari Felicitation To Mark Social Harmony: Gov Arif Mohammed Khan asks workers to follow path of Sri Rama

Akkeraman Kalidasa Bhdattathirippa, Kerala State President of  Yogakshema Sabha pointed out that the story of social harmony spread by Sreerama, Guha and Sabari  is the guiding force for the entire world.  Sabari Felicitation was organised in Thrissur as a part of the Ramayana Fest.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan stated in his inaugural address, that social workers should be ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of the social causes; that is the message of Ramayana. Social workers should not live for selfish motives. They should alleviate the distress and hardships of the people who approach them for succour. In this regard, if necessary, they should be ready to sacrifice everything they possess. Sreeramachandran is a role model for this.

The governor presented Vathmeeki Puraskaram to the renowned poet Sreekumaran Thampi. Thampi said that it is Ramayana that made him a poet. Most of the poets of all Bharatiya languages are more or less indebted to Ramayana. Thampi said that Bhakthi (devotion) is the crux of the Adhyathma Ramayana authored by Thunchath Ezhuthachan.  He added that it is impossible to fathom the contribution of Ramayana to the Malayalam language.

K. Kittu Nair, chairman of Samarppana presided over the event. Senior RSS Pracharak S. Sethumadhavan. Adv. B Gopalakrishnan, T.C. Sethumadhavan, playback singer Devanand, film star Kumari Devananda, Master Sadashiv Krishna and Thapasya state committee member C.C. Suresh participated.  Kalyan Silks MD T.S. Pattabhiraman presented a memento to the Governor.
