In wake of the recent incident of a buffalo head being found in the compound wall of a Shiva temple near Orumanayoor in Chawakkad, the Hindus who are minority in the area suspect a communal conspiracy behind this. The incident is significant as Vinayaka Chathurthi is round the corner. Police visited the site and have started investigation. The buffalo head was seen above the upa pratishta’s (sub deity) shrine.

The temple is an ancient one. It belongs to Pillerikkal family. In 2005, four persons of that family were killed by one Navaz. The local devotees are in the midst of arranging Ganesholsavam in the area. Therefore, people have every reason to believe that there is a conspiracy to unleash the communal clashes.

People complain, police told them that case would be registered if they circulate the pictures of the visuals, in social media, in connection with the incident. But, the people beefed up their protest hence District Police Chief visited the place and led further inquiry. Now, Police informed that they are looking for the culprit.

Hindus and nationalist forces take the incident seriously. They are doing their best to avoid a communal clash which is a grand design of religious fundamentalists and anti-national forces.
