The initiative to launch the restaurant on wheels was taken last year by the Bhusawal division of the Central Railway (CR). This ‘coach wheel restaurant’ has been set up outside the station building at the Nashik Road railway station.

People coming to the restaurant can easily access it as it is in the non-ticketing area and they can embark on the new culinary experience. It gives them an opportunity to enjoy the nostalgic allure of train travel and at the same time relish various kinds of mouth watering food.

‘Restaurant on Wheels’: Testament to Railways innovative ways

The move to convert the railway coaches into a restaurant is an exemplification of the fact that Indian railways is taking new measures not only to keep the passengers happy with its services, but also invent new ways to generate revenue.

The food enthusiasts can while relishing the food get the feel of the landscape of the railway station. The way the railway coaches have been turned into a restaurant will surely leave the visitors mesmerised. The Indian Railways is ensuring that they provide best services to their customers and ensure that they carry with them beautiful  memories of a dining experience which is an amalgamation of tradition and modernity.

This initiative of Indian railways from tracks to table is truly turning out to be an enchanting experience for all those who visited this restaurant on wheels in Nashik.

Those visiting this restaurant will surely carry with them memories of not only the mouth watering food but also that of unique ambiance.
