Pro CPM, self-styled, ‘Swamy’ avoided by Overseas Congress

Reports suggest that several Hindu bodies, including Nair Association of Greater Chicago, had aired their protests in public. Differences of opinion took place even in the Overseas Congress in connection with the invitation to Sandeepananda. They had valid reason for this opposition: The self-styled Swamy reportedly holds anti-Hindu views and is a close associate of CPM. Also there are news of questions being raised against the authenticity of the programme. It is also alleged that posters released by Sandeepananda in social media did not show the details of the organisers. He is alleged to have made extremely rude and blasphemous remarks against Lord Ganapati in his FB post.

K.B. Uthamkumar of Vasai, general secretary of BJP Palghar district near Mumbai, has lodged a complaint before Maharashtra Police, against Sandeepananda for the alleged obscene and denigrating remarks against Lord Ganesh and Sree Parvati Devi. He has made several posts like this in FB. The complaint demands immediate action against self-styled swamy for insulting Hindu Gods and distorting Puranas. It is to be noted that his obscene comments came close on the heels of the blasphemous comments of the Assembly Speaker A.N. Shemseer against Lord Ganapati.

A fire broke out at his ashram near Thiruvananthauram on October 27, 2018. Immediately RSS, BJP and Hindu organisations were blamed, even before the preliminary investigation was started. Even Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who presides home ministry, reached the site immediately. Several other top CPM leaders visited there and unleashed allegations against RSS, BJP and other Hindu organisations. Forensic examinations could not trace the source of fire; and, the police did not find out the people behind it. Interestingly ‘CCTVs were not functioning’ at the time of blaze. But, in December, 2022 one bloke told a local Malayalam channel that his brother, who had already committed suicide, had set fire. But, there were allegations that it was not an ashram, but a homestay. However, the news came from up various sources those days were not convincing that it was an accident.

And, there were news about the revelations of couple of women complaining against swamy’s undesirable behaviour. He came to limelight when he started Gita disclosures as a brahmachari of Chinmaya Mission. But, nearly two decades before, he started his own ashram. Whether he was shown the door by Chinmaya Mission or whether he left voluntarily is a one million dollar question as both versions are doing the rounds.
