The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has come down heavily on Congress leader Digvijaya Singh for his tweet in which he has used a photoshopped image of MS  Golwalkar, who is the second Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).  In that photoshopped image which Digvijaya Singh has used, it has been said that Golwalkar ji would never want such freedom which would give equal rights to the muslims and the Hindus.

Hitting back at Digvijaya Singh, Sunil Ambekar, who is the Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh, RSS took to twitter to denounce Digvijaya Singh. Lashing at Digvijaya Singh, Ambekar said that there is clearly a malafide intention behind the tweet that has been done by Digvijaya Singh against Golwalkar Guruji and its main objective is to create unwanted social unrest as well as damage the image of the RSS.

In the past Digvijaya Singh had tried to defame the RSS  as he had compared  it to the Popular Front of India and had said that they are the two sides of the same coin, thereby sparking controversy. At that point of time BJP leader, Sushil Modi had said that Singh should be ashamed for making such a statement. The remarks made by Singh had come at  a time when the National Investigation agency (NIA) had cracked down on the PFI activities in different parts of the country.

It was last year that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had carried out searches at various locations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu as well as in other states and had arrested more than 100 PFI members.

Netizens Slam Digvijaya Singh For His Fake Tweet

Digvijaya Singh’s fake tweet has not gone down very well with the netizens who have lashed at him. One of the prominent leaders of the RSS Ratan Sharda openly expressed displeasure of the photoshopped image posted by Singh and in his tweet he hit back at Singh and said, “I challenge the person who has tweeted it to show me the book, page number with image. These frauds think SM has given them licence to fool people and create hatred.”

One of the netizens, Nirmalyo Banerjee stated, “Such a big congress leader sharing fake news openly.” Another user, Anil Singh said that since Digvijaya Singh does not have any issue to discuss, he has posted a photoshopped image.

Another netizen Abhimnayu Rao said, “Why is he sharing a fake whatsapp forward !?? Is this what congress is limited to !?

RSS had taken to Task In the Past Those who Tried to Spoil its Image Through Fake News

Dr Ashok Dubey, Prant Prachar Pramukh of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Awadh Prant had filed a Rakesh Aggarwal and Ramesh Mishra of Dainik Bhaskar, editor of Haribhoomi and chief editor of News 24. These media houses had claimed that the RSS would construct its second headquarters on 100 acres of land in Ayodhya, covering an area 100 times larger than Nagpur.

While speaking to the Organiser, Dubey said, “Dainik Bhaskar and other media platforms with the intent of tarnishing the image of Ayodhya and RSS published the fake news.”

In another instance, FIR was filed in Indore, Madhya Pradesh against media organisations and social media users and groups, namely, News Nasha (Web Portal), Encounter (Web Portal), Janvichar Samvad (Facebook Group), Bhavika Kapoor and Anuj Yadav (Twitter Handle) and Piyush Ahir (Facebook Profile) for spreading fake news against Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

In Indore, a video had gone viral on social media in which it was claimed that the office bearers of RSS were running a spa centre and wrong activities were going on there. Based on this video, fake stories were being posted by some Facebook groups or media sites. However, the fact was that this video was not related to any volunteer of Sangh.
