Yet another case of rape and murder shook the country to its core. This time a 15-year-old Hindu girl was gang-raped by Islamists, in order to get away with the accusation they threw her body into a well. As soon as the family located the body and took her to the hospital, the minor was declared dead by the doctors.

Raged about the police inaction, the local Hindu groups called for a protest march against the administration. Visuals from the protest are viral on social media, the protestors can be seen raising, ‘Love Jihad Band Karo slogans’ in the protest.  (The video of the same can be seen here)

Love Jihad is a term used to define a pattern of crime where Muslim men, hiding their religious identity trap women belonging to Hindu, Sikh, Jain and Christian communities for conversion.

The accused in the 15-year-old gang rape and murder case have been identified as Mohammed Kaif Ansari & Mohammed Aashiq Ansari.

As per a report by ETV Bharat, the incident took place in the Baidaparhi village which falls under the Birni police station area of the Giridih district on May 28. The victim’s family found her body inside a well, and when rushed to the hospital she died. Following her death, the victim’s family filed a police complaint at the Birni police station.

As per a report by Hindustan, the victim girl was a student of class 10 and scored 86 per cent marks in the board examination. On May 28, she returned home late at night with her parents from a birthday party. Everyone went to their respective rooms to sleep, the minor slept with her elder sister.

At midnight when the elder sister woke up she found the victim missing, searched the house and tried calling her number, but she found nothing. She informed the parents and they also searched out but found nothing.

The next morning, around 7 am, Hatim Ansari took Mahesh Kumar to the well located in the Thoriya area. They found someone was in the well, they took out the body, the girl was alive. One of the locals identified the minor and called her parents. The villagers were taking the minor to the hospital, however, she died on the way.

As per a report by Dainik Jagran, the victim’s father told the media that when his daughter was taken out of the well she kept taking the names of the accused. The perpetrators threw her body into the well so as to get away with their crimes.

Police inspector Naveen Singh told media that, the victim’s body was sent for postmortem and the investigations in the case were on. As soon as the information was received, BJP leader Manoj Singh and Chief Ramu Baitha reached the house of the deceased and consoled the relatives. Both of them assured to get justice to their relatives.

Even after three days of the crime, no arrests have been made by the police in this case. This is why a protest march was organised, demanding arrests of the accused on May 31.  The people are angry with the act of Muslim men and demanded them to be hanged and shot in public.

Taking it to Twitter, the leader of the opposition, Babulal Marandi Tweeted, “Mohammad Kaif Ansari and Mohammad Ashiq Ansari gang-raped a Hindu minor girl student in Baidapahari village of Giridih district of Jharkhand and threw her into a well. The girl student died. Today people took out a march in protest against her,”

“There is a lot of resentment among the people due to the unsatisfactory action taken by the government,” he added.
