A Hindu woman from the Majhola area of Moradabad district of Uttar Pradesh has given a complaint to the police against Mohammad Jamal. The woman alleged that Jamal posed as a Hindu man to trap her into conversion-nikah. Later he left her giving ‘Triple Talaq’.
The woman in her complaint stated that Jamal posed as Sonu to befriend her four years ago. When she was trapped into his clutches he revealed his true identity. Soon, he began forcing her to convert to Islam.
Believing him the woman accepted Islam and they both got married to each other as per Islamic rituals.
After the marriage, he started abusing her, and the woman was sexually assaulted by Jamal. He also started demanding dowry from her. The woman gave birth to a daughter and after this, he started pressurizing her o bring five lakh cash and a car from her parent’s family, as he received no dowry during the ‘Nikah’.
Meanwhile, the woman found that Jamal already had a wife whom she married 18 years ago. She had no idea about his first wife and family. He already had two daughters with his first wife. It was on April 24, last month she found the truth. When she confronted him for the same, he gave her instant ‘Triple Talaq’.
After the triple talaq, the woman reached the Majhola police station for help. Based on the victim’s statement the police have registered a case against Sonu alias Jamal Khan. The accused has been booked under sections of dowry, triple talaq, rape and criminal intimidation.
The accused is yet to be arrested by the police.
