Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Vande Bharat train on April 25 morning. When the train arrived at Shoranur Junction, Congress people, allegedly having allegiance to V K Sreekandan, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), pasted his posters with his image on window glasses of the train.
It claims Sreekandan successfully fought for Vande Bharat’s stop at Shoranur station. Railway Police Force (RPF) officers removed the posters. But, by that time, they had turned viral on social media.
There is othing wrong if one alleges that Congress does not have any development agenda, let alone any development politics. The only politics they know is ‘power politics based on nepotism’. Otherwise, how can a human being resort to this vandalism on the same day Vande Bharat was flagged off.
Sreekandan told the media that he did not know who did it. At the same time, he says, they did not do it purposely and were removed before the train left the station.
Shoranur RPF has registered a case, in connection with the incident, based on Indian Railway Act. The case is for acting adversely against the facilities passengers are entitled to have. Glass windows have borne dirt, and they were to be cleaned when the train returns to Thiruvananthapuram.
The whole episode proves the present plight Congress is trapped in – No proper leadership, reckless and shortcut path for fame, no disciplined cadres, leaders having zero control over rank and file, no respect for public properties, hostility to all Union Government properties (since they belong to Modi, read, BJP, read RSS); and on top of all, a tragic fact that Rahul Gandhi is their role model.
Congress leaders agree privately that PM’s Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram programs boosted the pro-Modi mindset of the young generation and students. Therefore, the right-thinking people of Kerala are not at all surprised by this ‘Sreekandan’ episode.
