It looks like Shahrukh Saifi, the Train Fire suspect, enjoyed ‘necessary’ help from local and out-of-Kerala accomplices. Investigation agencies have visited Karakkad Colony, Ongallur, Pattambi, and Palakkad districts. It is reported that Saifi had spent some time there and had food there.
He carried out his terror operations after 16 hours since he reached Shoranur from Delhi. Naturally, a question arises regarding the lengthy duration he spent. The place reportedly belongs to a Panchayat ward represented by an elected member of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the political wing of the outlawed Popular Front of India (PFI).
Incidentally, SDPI workers of that ward are reported to have gone underground since the terror act.
Saifi purchased petrol from a filling station about 3 km away from Shoranur. Again there is a question, why did he avoid a filling station near the railway station he alighted at? Agencies are examining the petrol station to explore more details.
Now, Saifi complains of physical indisposition. But, doctors maintain that he does not suffer from any significant health issues. He still undergoes interrogation. Agencies are determined to trace the co-conspirators and the helping hands.
