A large number of people returned to ‘Sanatan Dharma’ on February 19 at a religious event in Bageshwar Dham. Dham’s Peethadhishwar Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri and thousands of devotees were also present on the occasion. Shastri had said that the people themselves have returned to Sanatan Dharma of their own. The people of Hindu Jagran Manch had taken these people to Bageshwar Dham.

62 families converted to Christianity, which belongs to Tapriyan, Banapur, Chitora and Bamhauri village of the Bundelkhand area.

Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, on the occasion, said that everyone makes mistakes. I request you all to start going to the Hanuman temple on Saturday-Tuesday. We are not against any sect but are staunch followers of Sanatan Dharma. He further said that I do not want popularity. We want to see Ramcharitmanas as a national book and India as a Hindu nation.

Kamal Awasthi, media coordinator of Bageshwar Dham, said that along with mass marriages, other religious events are also going on here for the last few days. On February 19, a large number of people boarded buses and reached Bageshwar Dham. Peethadhishwar Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham called everyone on the stage.

Activists of Hindu Jagran Manch said that many of these people had converted to Christianity after coming in contact with missionaries and started going to church. Those who returned to Sanatan dharma said that they had become Christians due to the greed and temptation of the missionaries, and the missionaries had promised to give them houses.

It is to be noted that last year in December, 250 people returned to Sanatan Dharma during the Katha of Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, where people had left Christianity.
