Delhi ( India) : In another development to Nikki Yadav’s murder case, Delhi Police has arrested five co-accused including Sahil Gahlot’s father, his two cousins (Ashish and Naveen) and his two friends (Amar and Lokesh). According to Delhi Police, Sahil Gahlot informed the co-accused that he murdered Nikki Yadav and then went ahead with his marriage with another girl.

Special Commission of Police (Crime Branch) Ravindra Yadav said that “All five co-accused including the father Virender Singh, two cousins Ashish and Naveen and two friends Amar and Lokesh of Sahil Gehlot were thoroughly interrogated and arrested after verifying and ascertaining their role in connection with the killing.”

Delhi Police also revealed that Sahil Gahlot and Nikki Yadav were married, and Nikki tried to convince Sahil to not get married to another girl as the couple solemnised their marriage in 2020 and that she was his wife and not a live-in partner. However, Sahil conspired to kill the deceased.

Earlier, Sahil Gahlot was arrested for the murder of Nikki Yadav and after sustained interrogation he confessed to killing her around 9 a.m. on February 10, 2023. He further told the Delhi Police that he strangulated Nikki with a data cable, propped her body in the car’s front seat and continued to drive around Delhi-NCR region for another 40 kilometres. Sahil kept Nikki’s body in the car at the time of his marriage and then went to stuff the body at his dhaba’s refrigerator in the outskirts of Mitraon village in Delhi’s Najafgarh area.

The police officials also stated that, “Sahil had deleted all the data from Nikki’s phone. The accused knew that his and Nikki Yadav’s chat was big evidence for the police, so he deleted all the data as earlier many times they had quarrels through WhatsApp chat.”

Nikki’s father demands that Sahil be hanged to death for his alleged crime. He said, “All we want now is justice and the culprit should be hanged to death.” He continued, “Our daughter is gone. She is no more. All we want now is justice. The culprit should be awarded the strictest punishment and should be hanged to death for his brutal crime.”

This incident was brought to light on Valentine’s Day (February 14, 2023) when Nikki’s body was recovered from the dhaba’s refrigerator.
