Dhaka: Like the previous several years, the attack on the minority Hindu community in neighbouring Bangladesh continued in the year 2022 also. The level of inhumane atrocity had crossed all the limits on the Hindu community in the last year. Rape, murder, attacks on Hindu religious institutions, land grabing, forcefull conversion had became a general incident against the Hindu community in Bangladesh in some previous years.

In 2022, 154 Hindu people were killed by the Islamist in Bangladesh and 424 were attempted to be killed by Islamic miscreants in the same period. 849 persons were threatened to kill by Islamist during the same period and 360 persons were grievously injured in those attacks. Out of these 62 persons are still missing. During the same year 39 Hindu women were raped and 27 Hindu women were gang raped in Bangladesh. 17 Hindu women were killed by Islamist after rape and 55 other women were molested and attempted to rape during 2022. 152 Hindu women were forcefully converted to Islam in Bangladesh during January 1 to December 31, 2022.

These information were revealed by Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mahajot in a press statement signed by its Secretary General Govinda Chandra Pramanik. The statement reads, 128 Hindu temples were set ablaze and vandalised by the Islamist in Bangladesh in 2022. 481 idols of Hindu god and goddesses were also vandalised by miscreants during the same period. 72 Hindu god idols were stolen from various temples in the same period. The atrocity level on Hindu community records a sharp increase in the country in the last several years. In 2022, 40 persons were forced to convert to Islam and 127 Hindu persons were abducted by miscreants in the same year. 333 Hindu people were forced to eat Beef in Bangladesh in 2022, beef was thrown to 179 religious institutions in the same period. Islamist obstructing the organisation of Hindu festivals 129 times in the same period. Moreover, land belonging to 51 Hindu temples were grabbed by the Islamist in Bangladesh. 319 temples were looted by Islamist miscreants in 2022. It should be mentioned that 519 houses of Hindu families were torched by Islamist miscreants in 2022 and 891 families were attacked. 8,990 acres of land belonging to Hindu families were grabbed by Islamist out of which 6,550 acres were of Santal and Tripuri hill tribes.

35,818 Hindu families were threatened to be evicted by the Islamist from their ancestral property and 572 Hindu families were evicted last year. 15,115 Hindu families were threatened to leave Bangladesh by the Islamist and 445 Hindu families were forced to leave the country. A total of 1 lakh 96 thousand Hindu families have informed that they were being threatened by the Islamist and feel insecure at their own place. Besides these in October 2022, there were 35 attackes on the Durga Puja celebration by the Islamist and 91 Durga Idols were vandelised by the radicals in Bangladesh.

The persecution against the Hindu community continues in the neighboring country for decades resulting a sharp decrease of Hindu population in Bangladesh. From 22 percent in 1971 it has come down to 7.9 percent in 2022. But still there is no European propaganda media to document the harsh challenges face by the Hindu community in Bangladesh.

In 2021, 46 Hindu women were raped, and more than 411 Hindu women were physically assaulted by Muslims in Bangladesh in 2021. 32 Hindu people were forced to eat beef by radicals and 252 Hindus were killed in the same year.
