Forced conversion in Maharashtra: Hindu men forcefully circumcised; Muslims get reward of Rs 5 lakh to lure Hindu girls

In a shocking incident from Maharashtra, as per the Times Now investigative report on January 13, 2023, over two hundred Hindus are being converted annually in the Daund area. The situation in the area has become such deplorable that Hindu families living in Daund claimed that Muslim youths are given a monetary reward of Rs 5 lakhs to make Hindu girls convert.

The most shocking revelation in this matter is that all these conversions are happening with the support of political leaders, including MPs and police help. Hindu men are honey trapped to get them to convert, claimed the investigation. According to the report, hundreds of people living in the area are also forced to circumcise each year.

According to the report, around 200 people, mostly girls, are converted in Daund and are only 17- 8 years old.

As per the report, during college days, these girls are brainwashed. They are instigated in marriage, and after these girls give birth to their children, they are divorced and abandoned. Then they get ready to marry again.

“Hindus are scared to react as the people behind the forced conversions beat up and threaten girls. They molest these young girls in public but no one can even file a complaint against them. These men have support of politicians, which is why no one is ready to raise their voice. People are not even ready to talk about the matter,” reported Times Now, quoting a resident of this area.

The most horrifying thing is that if a Hindu girl marries a Muslim guy, they get around Rs 5 lakhs from the society, claims the report. “People like Farooq Qureshi, Kumel Qureshi, Ashib Qureshi and Farhaan Qureshi are behind these activities. There is no body to talk against them, nor takes their names,” told a resident of Daund to Times Now.

The fact is that incidents of forced conversions and Love jihad are being reported across the country.

In September 2021, UP ATS arrested Muslim cleric Kaleem Siddiqui for his alleged involvement in an illegal conversion racket. His name emerged during the investigation of Umar Gautam’s case, who, with others, was arrested for forcibly converting 1,000 people to Islam.

In June 2022, Rachna from Madhya Pradesh, who had eloped and married Mohammed Irfan a few years ago, was found dead. Earlier, Rachna had accused Irfan of domestic violence and forced conversion. Based on her complaint Irfan was jailed. However, he was on bail before her murder.

In June 2022, according to an FIR registered in a police station in Varanasi, the father of a Hindu woman in his complaint said that Sharif Hashmi, who had married his daughter in 2015, had forcibly converted her to Islam and then later killed her.

In March 2022, a woman named Apoorva Puranik from Karnataka, who changed her name to Arfa Bhanu after marrying Mohammad Ejaz Shiroor, was stabbed over twenty times by her husband for seeking a divorce from him as she had found that had found her husband Mohammad Shiroor was already married and had three children.
