Amidst the persistent atrocities against Hindus in Pakistan, another case of brutality has come to light. In a horrific incident on December 28, 2022, a forty-year-old Hindu woman, named Daya Bhel, was gang-raped and beheaded. Her skin was also peeled off by a sharp weapon used by murderous savages in an agricultural field in Sinjhoro Village in Sindh, Pakistan. The woman is survived by four children.

Pakistan’s first Hindu female senator, Krishna Kumari strictly condemned the brutal incident.

In a tweet, Krishna Kumari said, “Daya Bhel 40 years widow brutally murdered and body was found in very bad condition. Her head was separated from the body and the savages had removed flesh of the whole head. Visited her village. Police teams from Sinjhoro and Shahpurchakar also reached.”

Additionally, a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Amar Lal Bheel also mentioned that her breast was chopped off, exposing her ribs and flesh from the whole face was removed and her skull was exposed too.

As per the PPP leader, a post-mortem has been done and further investigation is underway

According to My Sanghar, a local news channel, Police teams have been subsequently deployed in Sinjhoro as well as the neighbouring village of Shahpurchakar with sniper dogs. A post-mortem has been conducted and further investigation is underway.

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is well known for the persecution of religious minorities, especially Hindus and Sikhs. Many of them have stated that they are being treated as second-class citizens in Pakistan.

Hindus in Pakistan have also been targets of sexual harassment and their religious practises and festivals have been abused and mocked several times.

They are being taught the Islamic curriculum by force and they say that it is compulsory for them. The Hindu places of worship have been destroyed. Several Muslims set fire to temples and vandalised the idols of Hindu deities on the temple premises.

Many Hindus have been targets of religious violence and forced conversions. In the month of October, a Hindu Woman was stripped, raped and tortured for asking for payment of her daily wages. Earlier in March, an 18-year-old Hindu woman from Sindh was shot dead and her body thrown on the streets while she resisted her killer.
