Bangladesh : Just after the horrific murder of Shraddha came to light, a similar incident occurred in Bangladesh. As per reports, a woman named Kavita Rani was allegedly beheaded by her married lover Abu Bakar in Bangladesh’s Khulna on November 7.

The matter came to light on November 6, when the accused Abu Bakr did not turn up for work and was unreachable on phone. As suspicion over Abu Bakr’s disappearance grew, the landlord informed police. Police arrived and they found the headless body of a woman in a box.

Abu Bakar was later arrested by Rapid Action Force. A preliminary probe revealed that both of them had conflicts when Kavita learned about his marital status. Abu Bakr strangled her to death. After the accused confessed to the crime, the RAB recovered Kavita’s severed hands wrapped in polythene from a narrow spot in the Gobarchaka area of the city, based on his information.

Abu Bakr and his live-in partner Sapna were arrested from the Chaurasta area under the Basan police station area of Ghazipur district. Police handed over the accused to the Sonadanga police station.
