Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP national president JP Nadda will be arriving in Guwahati on Friday evening. Both the leaders will attend several party and other official programs in the state.
Home minister Amit Shah and BJP’s National President J P Nadda will reach Guwahati, the capital city of Assam, on Friday evening. On Saturday morning at 9 am the two leaders will inaugurate BJP’s new state office on National Highway-27 at Basistha Chariali area in presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and other party leaders.
“After the inauguration of the party’s state head office, Home Minister Shah and National President Nadda will address a rally of BJP booth workers at Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara. We expect around 40,000-45,000 booth workers to attend the rally,” state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita said.
Home Minister Amit Shah will attend a meeting on Anti Drugs operation in North East states. All Chief Ministers of NE states, Chief Secretaries and DGPs of the NE states will attend the crucial meeting beside top officials of Home Ministry and state governments on Saturday evening and Sunday morning, scheduled to take place at Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati. Several issues pertaining to the NE states including border disputes, insurgency will be discussed in the crucial meet.
Later in the afternoon, he will visit the Dergaon Police Training College in Golaghat district of Assam to attend the conference of the superintendents of police of the state.
While National President Nadda will attend several state level party workers meeting to assess the preparedness for the 2024 general election. He will leave on Saturday evening after attending a few meetings, Amit Shah will depart from Assam on Sunday evening from Jorhat airport.
