DMK Ally VCK Demands Tamil Nadu Break Away From India

A few months after DMK MP ex-Union minister, A Raja stoked controversy over secessionist demand, it's junior ally VCK's deputy general secretary Vanniarasu demands Tamil Nadu's separation from India.

A ruling DMK ally, VCK echoed the separate state slogan of it’s partner. The talk for statehood has been initiated by DMK leaders, Jagat Gasper and now it allies who joined the bandwagon.

DMK MP ex-Union minister, A Raja, once prime accused in the 2G scam, had stoked a controversy on the 4th of July. He said “DMK has given up the call for separate Tamil Nadu and has come for State autonomy. But our ideological godfather Periyar demanded a separate Tamil Nadu till his death, but we have kept aside that demand and accepted Federalism for the country’s integrity and democracy. PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah should not to push the DMK to revive the Periyar’s (EV Ramaswamy Naicker) demand for secession”.

Soon after this, Pro-LTTE Christian missionary Jegath Gaspar Raj calls for Partition of India, instigated Muslims to demand a separate country. He said. “If you are 40 per cent, you ask for a 40 per cent of land as partition, there is nothing wrong. We will live peacefully with 40 per cent. Even if Muslims demand 20 per cent land, you will have land to the size of Tamil Nadu, Andhra, Telangana and Karnataka.

Now, it is the turn of Vanniarasu, deputy general secretary of  VCK headed by Thol. Thirumavalavan. He is known for his rabid anti-Hindu, anti-Brahmin rants. He was accused of illegally contesting from a constituency reserved for Hindu Scheduled Caste despite being a Christian. His wife is a Christian.

Vanniarasu shared a video of the speech with the caption “Let us make Tamil Nadu a separate nation from the Union of India”. In that he is making a clarion call for making Tamil Nadu a separate nation from India. He was speaking in an event held in remembrance of Senkodi, the woman who self-immolated seeking the release of seven terrorists convicted of killing former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He said “On this death anniversary of Senkodi, independence… Tamil Nadu’s independence.. the rights of Tamils.. Achieving Tamil Nadu as a separate nation from Indian Union.. that will be our pledge and duty towards Senkodi”.

Vanniarasu said “Today, to uphold Sanathanam (Hinduism), ‘they’ (referring to RSS-BJP) are trying to eliminate the depressed, most backward, and tribal people. Today, there is a lot of responsibility and need for us to fight against these forces of injustice. There is a need for us to go village by village. That is why our leader Ezhuchi Thamizhar (referring to VCK chief and Lok Sabha MP, Thirumavalavan) on his birthday proclaimed for isolating the Sanathana forces and uniting ‘democratic forces’. From this year August 17 to next year August 17, we’re going to all villages and fight the Sanatana forces. We’re looking towards youngsters driven by the ideologies of ‘Thanthai’ Periyar and revolutionary Ambedkar and mobilizing them. In this fight against these Sanatana forces, we are ready to give up our lives. VCK is want to make Tamil Nadu truly a whole Tamil Nadu “.

In February this year, Vanniarasu made a statement about VCK’s motive to destroy Hinduism in Tamil Nadu, as soon as it comes to power. Vanniarasu said that when his leader Thirumavalavan becomes the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, a rule will be brought to ban the wearing of sacred thread (janeu) and that it will be the first step that will be taken to destroy Sanatana Dharma.

The speeches of Raja and Jagat Gasper, and now Vanniarasu are nothing new but are a part of a grand design that was finalized in 2020 itself.  Using the word to refer Central government as a ‘Union government’, refusing to say Jai Hind in state assembly, free run for separatist, anti-national, naxals and fundamentalist forces and now the demand for a separate state with full autonomy or partition are part of the design. The plot, it is alleged, was conceived by DMK with support of more than 180 fringe outfits, left and VCK.  Accordingly they are using all available platforms to stage their pre-scripted narratives. None of these speakers who made hate, secessionist speeches, and disparaging innuendos on Hindu Gods have any consequences despite several complaints but Hindu leaders are arrested at midnight like terrorists and slapped by the goondas act.  A situation has come to such a stage, where Hindus have to beg or get no objection certificate from Muslims, Christians to celebrate their festivals, similar to Jizyah raj, if we go by the latest order of HC.
