Assam Police busted human trafficking wing in Guwahati; Mastermind Jahirul Haque arrested

Jahirul along with a Make-Up-Artist used to send young girls from Assam to Mumbai and force them to engage in prostitution.

Guwahati: More than one Girl from Assam was brought to Mumbai promising to give a break in Bollywood, later forced to indulge in prostitution. The sensational case came to light after a victim girl filed a complaint at Paltanbazar police station in Guwahati. Acting swiftly on the complaint, Guwahati police on Thursday arrested human trafficking network mastermind Jahirul Haque and his partner in crime, a makeup artist based in the city. According to the Joint Commissioner of Guwahati police, Partha Sarathi Mahanta arrested accused Jahirul Haque contacts models based in Guwahati through social media networks. He introduced himself as a casting director in Bollywood. After that, with the help of his partner makeup artist, he takes the victim girls to Mumbai. After reaching Mumbai, Jahirul Haque forced the girls to go to different clients and communicated through Instagram. A victim girl somehow escaped from his custody in Mumbai and reached Guwahati. She then filed a complaint in the Paltan Bazar police station. In the initial investigation, city police found that several girls were communicated and taken to Mumbai by arrested Jahirul Haque. Police are trying to communicate with those girls. But the sensational human trafficking racket busted by police shocked the state people.
