Diphu: Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal, said, “With the blessing and love of the people, the Bharatiya Janata Party is not only the biggest party in India but in the entire world today. I called upon all of you to take the party as a conduit to commit yourself to the cause of nation-building.”

The Union Minister further asked the party members to make people aware of the various achievements of the Modi government and how the achievements of the last eight years have helped India to grow. “Under the leadership of our national President, JP Nadda ji, please join hands to further strengthen the foundation of the party in the country,” said Sonowal.

“The welfare schemes of the government and good governance under PM Narendra Modi as well as the hard work put in by each one of you has resulted in the love and respect from the people and how it has emerged as one strong family over the years. Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is working hard for holistic development and growth of the state. There is no alternative to BJP for the holistic development & permanent peace in Assam, the Northeast & India,” added Sarbananda Sonowal.

Congratulating the newly elected members of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) with a warm welcome after the party swept the recently held elections, the Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal terms this win historic and called upon them to dedicate themselves to the service of common people with complete honesty.

Speaking at the event, the Union Minister said, “Karbi Anglong suffered a lot during the reign of Congress government. Their divisive politics neglected Karbi Anglong and deprived people of peace & prosperity. Their mis-governance led to the rise of evil powers & violence. But, under the dynamic leadership of Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modiji, all these are now things of the past as today, Karbi Anglong is progressing with peace. The welfare schemes at the behest of the Modi government has played a crucial role in easing the lives of people. The role played by the Honourable Union Home Minister, Amit Shahji, is pivotal in bringing peace to the region. With peace, the people of Karbi Anglong are now seeing a ray of hope and the youth are aspiring to give flight to their dreams.”

The Union Minister also congratulated the newly inducted ministers to Assam Government – Jayanta Mallah Baruah and Nandita Garlosa – and wished them best wishes.

Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal further called upon everyone to actively participate in the upcoming International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022.

The union minister was speaking at the executive meeting of the Assam state BJP. The official website of BJP Assam and the Report Management software were also unveiled on this occasion.
