“Out of fear my family has left Delhi…This is an exodus,” rather helplessly says Naveen Jindal, who was expelled from BJP over his ‘controversial’ tweets.

Jindal also tweeted marking his missive on the micro-blogging site to Delhi’s Lt Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, Commissioner of Police Rakesh Asthana and also DCP East Delhi.

He shared a screenshot of a phone number in a tweet in Hindi and said he has received death threats directed at himself and his family from unknown people.

In fact, the Islamists are taking things far. Protests erupted in the name of the post-Namaz session and Friday frenzy and violence have been reported from states like Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

In Mamata Banerjee-ruled West Bengal – now infamous for giving indulgence to hooligans and lawbreakers from one particular community – the state Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar has taken up the matter seriously and wondered if there was indirect ‘endorsement’ to the violence.

His tweet in fact raises questions about the role of the Kolkata Police, West Bengal police and the state chief secretary.

Jindal’s family has already left Delhi after receiving death threats.

In Karnataka, an effigy of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma was reported on June 10 near Dargah at the Ford Road of Belagavi.

After an allegedly doctored video went viral, several Islamists issued rape and threats to the former spokesperson of the BJP.

AIMIM (Inquilab) ‘s Qavi Abbasi even announced a bounty of Rs 1 crore on Nupur Sharma.

The Muslim mob blocked the Delhi-Kolkata National Highway on June 9 near Ankurhati on NH 116 for 11 hours to protest against Nupur Sharma. The blockade resulted in severe traffic disruption. The Islamists went berserk, burnt tyres harassed civilians, and shouted slogans.

After several rounds of negotiations between protesters and Domjur Trinamool MLA Kalyan Ghosh, local clerics and cops, Islamists cleared the way after 9 pm.

BJP general secretary Arun Singh has said in a statement that his party and the incumbent central government respect all religions.

“During the thousands of years of history of India every religion has blossomed and flourished. The Bharatiya Janata Party respects all religions,” he has said.

“As India celebrates 75th year of its Independence, we are committed to making India a great country where all are equal and everyone lives with dignity, where all are committed to India’s unity and integrity, where all enjoy the fruits of growth and development,” the BJP leader stated.

A large number of Muslims staged a noisy protest in and around Jama Masjid in Delhi on Friday.

But Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid washed off his hands and instead chose to blame AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi for the huge crowd gathering.

“No call was given for protest by the Masjid,” said Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid.
