Although teens gang-rape in Hyderabad are still making national headlines, four other minor rape crimes have been registered in the city.

Two males sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl when she was on her way to her grandmother’s house. When the girl went missing on May 31, the incident occurred. On June 1, a police patrol discovered her in the Sultanshahi area.

The cab driver had driven her to a friend’s residence in Kondurg, where she was sexually raped by both of them. The next morning, they dropped her off. The accused, Shaik Kaleem Ali and Mohd Luqman Ahmed Yazdani, both 36 years old, have been apprehended.
The second case is of a girl who worked at a retail store from where 21-year-old Mohd Sufyan took her home on May 31 and sexually assaulted her. The girl subsequently complained of a stomach ache and the accused was arrested by the Kala Patthar police.
The second case involves a girl who worked at a supermarket and was sexually assaulted on May 31 by Mohd Sufyan. After the girl complained of stomach pain, the offender was apprehended by the Kala Patthar police.

On April 22, a minor girl from an orphanage was raped in a car, though the act has come into light now. A 16-year-old girl went to a birthday party with the accused, who assaulted her in the car under the guise of buying cake and talking to her. In the orphanage where she was questioned, a phone was discovered with the girl. She admitted that the accused gave it to her. Suresh, a 23-year-old photocopy shop employee, was detained and a case was filed at the Ramgopalpet police station.
In the fourth case, a girl has claimed she was raped at a theatre. The accused, who is also a minor and had been in contact with the girl for a few months, persuaded the minor to watch a movie. According to reports, the event occurred a month ago, and a case has been filed with the Rajendra Nagar police station.

These incidents follow a teen’s gang rape involving suspects with political families; one of the accused was the son of a TRS MLA, while the other was the son of a MIM politician.
