Waseem, Mustaq And Their Friends Arrested For The Murder of Swayamsevak in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh

Swayamsevak Ratan Soni was murdered by Waseem, Mustaq and their friends in Chittorgarh late night on May 31.

Rajasthan Police have arrested Waseem, Mustaq and their friends for the murder of Swayamsevak Ratan Soni in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh.

Ratan Soni, who was son of former BJP councillor Jagdish Soni, was returning from a programme when Waseem, Mustaq and his friends surrounded him near Kachchi Basti area and started assaulting him with sword and iron rods.

He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to Udaipur. He succumbed to his injuries on the way to Udaipur.

Chittorgarh Collector said that a job will be provided to the widow of Shri Soni and a monetary compensation of 25 lakh rupees will also be provided. Confirming it, Shri Soni’s father Jagdish Soni, whom is a former BJP councillor, said, “The Administration has agreed to our demands. We should get justice.”

Chittorgarh MP Chandra Prakash Joshi and MLA Chandrabhan Singh protested the murder of Shri Soni and demanded that killers of Shri Soni be punished at the earliest.

Superintendent of Police, Chittorgarh, Preeti Jain said that Waseem, Mustaq and his friends have been arrested and police are further investigating the case. She assured that the family of Shri Soni will get justice.

Jain further said that there was tension in the area over the murder of Shri Soni but the situation was under control now.
