Yet another round of demolition drive is on in Delhi.

Tension prevailed in Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar area on Thursday as the police resorted to mild lathi-charge after they were pelted with stones.

Sources said Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan, who reached the spot was detained by the police.

The situation turned volatile soon after he was detained. The people resisted it and resorted to stone-pelting. The police had to use force to disperse the crowd.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) conducted an anti-encroachment drive in East of Kailash and other adjoining areas in South Delhi.
