An 18-year-old nurse was gang-raped and murdered on the very first day of her job in a private hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao. On Saturday, the nurse’s body was found hanging from the hospital’s ceiling (30 April 2022). In this case, an FIR has been registered, and one accused has been taken into custody.
The incident is from the Dullapurwa village of Bangarmau Kotwali in the district. It was the first day of her job. According to the family, the hospital operator, Noor Alam, asked the girl to stay in the hospital for the night shift. After this, three people, including Noor Alam, raped her in the night. After raping, the accused tied a rope around the nurse’s neck and hanged her from the ceiling.
The next day, hospital staff informed the police when he found the hanging body of the girl. According to the police official, when they reached the hospital, they discovered that the girl had a mask on her face and a handkerchief in her hand.
The girl’s family members have filed a case of rape and murder against three people, including the operator of the hospital, Noor Alam and Chand Alam. Unnao ASP Shashi Shekhar Singh said that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
