Kamakhya temple was built during the 8th century. Konch king did reconstruction in 1565, while Aurangzeb was born in 1618. Mughal never ruled Assam and how Aurangzeb donated land for Kamakhya is a question.

Guwahati: The Hindu mandirs, shrines, religious places and Hindu gods and goddesses have always been the targets of Muslim leaders in the country. In the name of so-called secularism and freedom of speech, they have been insulting and attacking our places of worship and our gods. This time, Badruddin Ajmal led AIUDF MLA Haji Aminul Islam is targeting Maa Kamakhya mandir for a fresh attack. Islam recently said that Aurangzeb donated the Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya mandir's land.

The Mughal ruler Aurangzeb, who had been known for his atrocities against Hindus and his attacks on Hindu mandirs, according to the AIUDF MLA, was the kind person to donate land for Shakti Peeth Kamakhya mandir. Not only that, MLA Islam claims that Aurangzeb donated land for hundreds of mandirs all over India. The controversial AIUDF MLA, who was in jail for creating communal unrest during anti-CAA protest, claims that the proof of the land donation to the Kamakhya mandir by Aurangzeb is still in the British Museum. It has been historically proven that the Shaktipeeth Kamakhya mandir was built in the 8th century.

The brutal Mughal ruler Aurangzeb was born in 1618. The Mughal attacked Assam several times, from 1615 to 1682, but Mughal couldn't rule in Assam because of the bravery of Ahom kings and generals. There is historical evidence that the reconstruction of the Kamakhya temple was done during the rule of Konch king Nara Narayan in 1565, which was much earlier than the Mughal King Aurangzeb.

Reacting to the fresh attack on Maa Kamakhya by AIUDF MLA Aminul Islam, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that Aurangzeb Baap (father) was not able to invade Assam. Warning the MLA CM said anybody who insults Hindu gods and goddesses will have to face dire consequences. Dr Sarma said, "We never drag Mohamad, Jesus Christ, in political attack, but anyone who dares to insult our gods will have to eat jail food."
