India needs a leader like Narendra Modi for another 20 years. After Afghanistan's development, there shouldn't be any opposition to CAA in India.

Guwahati: India belongs to Hindus, and every Hindu has the right to come and live in India, said Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. Speaking in the Times Now conclave, CM Dr. Sarma stated that the world saw what happened in Afghanistan, and there shouldn't be any opposition to India's Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). I am sure that there is now a better appreciation of why the Modi government has passed the CAA? CM Dr. Sarma added.

In a video shared in the social media handle of the chief minister, Dr. Sarma heard saying, India belongs to Hindus. The word Indian came in 1947. But for the last 7000 years, we have been known as Hindus. Every Hindu has the right to come to India wherever they feel unsafe in another country. Dr. Sarma also said that India needs a leader like Prime Minister Narendra Modi for another 20 years. The better acceptance of the North East as an important location of the country is the biggest achievement of the present NDA government.

He said," India has finally arrived in the North East and it is the biggest achievement of the NDA government." He also mentioned that encroachment of government land by illegal settlers is a real hard issue faced by the state government presently. Citing the recent peaceful eviction in Lumding reserve forest on 9th November, Dr. Sarma said because he has come down heavily on PFI-CFI, the latest eviction was peaceful. In the violence in Dhalpur-Gorukhuti eviction, the evicted people didn't attack the police. It was PFI trained people who attacked the police during an eviction on 23rd September in Darrang. A judicial enquiry is going on, and the truth will emerge soon, he added.
