Statues of Adi Shankaracharya, Mandan Mishra and Ubhaya Bharati to be installed and an intellectual centre to be developed in Mithila. Member of Parliament Rakesh Sinha will also take up this project.

A statue of intellectual Ubhaya Bharati will be installed in the Kanchi Math, where there are already statues of Adi Shankaracharya and Mandan Mishra.

The Member of Parliament Rakesh Sinha proposed this to Kanchi Shankaracharya Vijayendra Saraswati, who accepted it.

There are already statues of Adi Shankaracharya and Mandan Mishra in the Kanchi temple.

Poojya Shankaracharya expressed his desire to develop an intellectual centre in Mithila and install statues of Adi Shankaracharya, Mandan Mishra and Ubhaya Bharati.

MP Sinha readily agreed to develop such an intellectual centre in Mithila.

MP Sinha paid a visit to the Kanchi Shankaracharya on Saturday (September 18).

In an hour-long meeting, the two discussed ways to promote spiritual tourism between North and South. They also discussed the need to develop more intellectual and spiritual centres in the country.
