Salam, who hails from UP’s Bulandshahr, used to impersonate as a Hindu boy and trap Hindu girls into marriage.
The Meerut police in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday (August 21) arrested one Abdul Salam for impersonating Hindu identities and trapping at least four Hindu girls in the last 15 years, and exploiting them sexually.
Salam, who hails from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, moved to the neighbouring district of Meerut to earn a living. He arranged a driving licence in the name of Vicky Singh and one Aadhaar card in the name of Anil Saini.
About sixteen years ago, he trapped one Pinky and got into a sexual relationship with her. He later married her and has a 15-year-old son. Recently, he trapped another Hindu girl and married her. It was then that Pinky moved to the law enforcement agencies with her complaint.
In the last few years, he has also trapped Ruhi and Monica and married them. The police are further investigating to find if more victims have fallen into the trap of Abdul Salam. Salam ensured the victims did not get to meet each other.
