More than 57 crore 22 lakh vaccine doses of Covid-19 have been administered in the country under Nationwide Vaccination Drive so far.
Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry has said, over 54 lakh 71 thousand vaccine doses were administered to the beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.
In a statement, Health Ministry said, the country has reported 36,571 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
The country's active caseload is currently stands at three lakh 63 thousand 605 which is the lowest in 150 days.
The active cases constitute 1.12 per cent of the total reported cases which is the lowest since March 2020.
The Ministry said, a total of 36 thousand 555 patients have recovered from the Covid infection during the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to more than three crore 15 lakh.
The recovery rate currently stands at 97.54 per cent which is highest since March 2020.
The Health Ministry said, weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.93 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 56 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.94 per cent.
The Ministry said, testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and more than 50 crore 26 lakh tests for COVID-19 have been conducted so far.
