At a time when the global community is thinking about the human rights of Afghan citizens, Shafiqur Rahman Barq, Samajwadi Party MP from Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal, has given a shocking statement about the Taliban occupation of Afghanistan. The SP MP said that the Taliban is a force that did not allow even strong countries like Russia and America to settle in their country.
Shafiqur Rahman Barq is notorious for making controversial statements. Singing praises of Taliban, Barq said that now the Taliban wants to free their country and run it, adding that it is an internal matter of the Taliban.
Another prominent Samajwadi Party (SP) leader, Mohd Rehan Khan, has hailed the Taliban calling the takeover a great victory against American "oppression". The SP leader and former UP minister, said that there is no reason to distrust the Taliban over their intention to bring peace to the country.
