Terror funding case: NIA conducts raids at over 50 locations in J&K

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at several locations across Jammu and Kashmir in connection with a terror funding case.

The raids were conducted in Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipore, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar and Rajouri districts..

 

According to sources, Jamaat-e-Islami was looking to fund terror outfits such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Hizbul Mujahideen in J&K.

 

Some Jamaat members were routing money via Dubai and Turkey for funding terror activities with the help of Pakistan's secret intelligence service ISI, sources said. 

 

The NIA on Wednesday (August 4) morning had conducted searches at several locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Karnataka as part of its investigation into the Kerala ISIS module case.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the raids were conducted at three locations, including the residence of a hardware store salesman in Bandipora.
