The Government today said that approximately five crore beneficiaries have been enrolled and more than four crore have been trained under the Prime Minister Gramin Digital Sakshanta Abhiyan Scheme till the 2nd of August.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Union Minister for women and Child Development Smriti Irani has said that over two crore women beneficiaries are registered in the scheme. Out of this above one crore women beneficiaries are certified under the scheme which is 54 percent of the total certified beneficiaries under the Scheme.
The Minister added that the Government had a target of reaching six crore households by March next year.
