Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered prayers to the model of Ram temple in Ayodhya as the Bhoomi Pujan (foundation-laying ceremony) marks its first anniversary. The UP CM also reviewed the progress of construction work of the Ram temple.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually attended an event on the free ration scheme in Ayodhya on the occasion of the Bhoomi pujan anniversary and interacted with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana via video conferencing.
Speaking at the event, PM Modi said August 5 will be remembered in history. “Two years ago on this day, Article 370 was abrogated in Jammu and Kashmir. On this day last year, the first step was taken towards the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Today, construction of a grand Ram Temple is underway,” he said.
While interacting with beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, the Prime Minister urged them to encourage more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and not believe rumours.
