Dragon with Nuclear Roar: Are Non-Nuclear Democratic Countries under direct threat of China?

Nearly 60 years have passed away since China detonated its first atomic bomb successfully and promised the world that it would not use atomic weapons against non-nuclear countries, and they would not be the first to use them.

Democratic Nations, Foreign Policy Experts and Nuclear Proliferators in the world were threatened and shocked because of a new video (later deleted with Millions watched in China) circulated among Chinese Communist Party channels that say, China will destroy Japan with nuclear weapons in a full-scale war if Tokyo interferes militarily in Taiwan.” Recently Japanese politicians doubled down publicly on Japan’s commitment to Taiwanese sovereignty. “We must defend Taiwan under our alliance with the US,” Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso had said.

Defence Minister Yasuhide Nakayama says Japan and the US must “protect Taiwan as a democratic country.” Japan’s release of the Defence of Japan 2021 white paper last week referred to the importance of Taiwanese stability. The Worrisome for Japan is "If Taiwan falls, Okinawa will be next. We must think about this seriously and steadfastly prepare our defence might," Deputy Prime Minister Aso said. We must defend Taiwan under our alliance with the US. "Democratic countries have to protect democratic countries and allies," he added. Japan has named China as Japan's primary national security concern. Though Japan is a non-nuclear state, China singles out Japan, threatening it will be the “exception” to China’s stated policy not to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear powers.

“Earlier during a speech marking the Communist Party's 100th anniversary, Chinese President Xi Jinping had proclaimed an “unshakeable commitment” to the reunification of Taiwan. The video says, “We will use nuclear bombs first. We will use nuclear bombs continuously. We will do this until Japan declares unconditional surrender for the second time. When we liberate Taiwan, if Japan dares to intervene by force, even if it only deploys one soldier, one plane or one ship we will not only return fire but also wage full-scale war against Japan itself. There will be no peace talks."”

In 1964, China detonated its first atomic bomb successfully. China promised the world that they would not use atomic weapons against non-nuclear countries, and they would not be the first to use them. Still, the play of their mouthpieces and the videos are creating ruckus in the Region. Who can forget China’s gamble of forced drought, debt-trap diplomacy with loans, amassing land, air, the water of small-medium countries? It has problems with all its neighbours. So a change in its Foreign policy makes the region reorient and regroup on a big scale. China has already built a vessel of Frankenstein’s with Pakistan, North Korea and soon Taliban. Will China become a threat to world peace, stability and development is the issue Foreign Experts will view in the coming days.

Nearly 60 years have passed away, and the international situation has changed dramatically. It is necessary to make limited adjustments to our nuclear policy. The first five-minute clip was published on Sunday. A second, more extended version went online a day later. The videos were deleted Wednesday after being reposted by Communist Party officials, attracting millions of views, tens of thousands of patriotic comments and international attention. Last year, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) released a recruitment video following an H-6K strategic bomber as it simulated a strike on the US territory of Guam.

“To conclude, one can say that China President Xi Jinping will start his 2022 campaign, which will see him go for an unprecedented third term as general secretary of the CCP and chairperson of the Central Military Commission. Communist Party’s long-standing principle since the Mao era is that political power grows out of the barrel of a gun catered to the domestic political front now seems to be spilling over into China’s external foreign policy and its security agenda and objectives.”

China’s activities and aggravations in the South China Sea, the East China Sea, and the Himalayan borderlands are to be watched. Han Chinese power is moving towards its zenith. Demographically, ethnic minorities boundaries have been flooded with the Han population to rewrite history, to justify Chinese control and annexation. But how the world will see them in the future, how the coalition of QUAD and Democratic Forces will contain it is the issue. For now, China is a threat to everybody, whoever does not listen to its dictum. It wants the world's resources, business, land, air and water. If you cooperate, you are an ally. Otherwise, as the video showed, you are its enemy; they can use from conventional to nuclear weapons. Is Nuclear China a danger to the world?

For India, we want a peaceful Asia and the world at large; we are against Nuclear Use or its First Use. As the world has suffered from COVID-19, Pandemic economic development and democracy promotion is the need of the hour. If China has its political system, it is for them. Still, if it starts threatening every nation who are its enemies with nuclear bombs, it is not a good sign as Rogue Countries like Pakistan, North Korea have Nuclear Bombs too. If all the countries start speaking in the language of Nuclear, where should the world go? Will it not encourage other countries to become Nuclear? China should become responsible and behave like a UN Security Council Permanent Member. It should stop supporting rogue nations, terrorists and should not speak a nuclear language for non-nuclear states. Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam "the world is one family" has to be understood by China than acting as an Authoritarian.
