Recalling his first meeting with Suresh Ji, Dr. Bhagwat became candid in sharing his memories.

‘Sureshrao Ketkar was a role model for all Swaymsevaks. He accepted, adopted, and lived his entire life for RSS to maintain the flow of its traditions. We all should resolve to continue with the tradition and this will be a true tribute to him.’ RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan ji Bhagwat said while paying his tributes to Suresh Ji Ketkar. He was speaking at the ‘Sharddhanjali Sabha’ organized at Nagpur to pay tributes to the former SahSarkarywah of RSS Late Shri. Suresh Ji Ketkar.

Dr. Bhagwat said that we all were away when Suresh Ji left us but we never feel that he is not with us. Such people always remain with us because of the work they have done. Those who came in contact with Suresh ji even for a short period cannot forget him. Recalling his first meeting with Suresh Ji, Dr. Bhagwat became candid in sharing his memories. Even though Suresh Ji used to look very strict, he had the heart of a mother. He was very particular about discipline and punctuality. He was a bachelor of education by qualification and used to take precaution that before every lecture, efforts should be put to make it perfect. For this, he used to practice it again and again even though he may be delivering it repeatedly. Once he had to deliver a lecture in Kerala and everyone insisted that it should be in English. Suresh Ji not only translated all his notes into English but created an audio cassette and listened to it multiple times to ensure that the lecture will be flawless.

As a Sharirik Pramukh, he had complete command of his subject. At a senior age also, he participated in a semi-marathon and completed it by running 15 km at a stretch. He was equally careful about the qualities of every Swaymsevak and made efforts to correct them with motherly affection and concern. Even after suffering from Parkinson’s disease in which memory is lost, he could recall his bouddhik lessons correctly and in perfect order till he breathed his last. He was so much committed to the work that doctors had to ask him to take a rest.

Vidarbha Prant Sanghchalak Dadarao Bhadke, Sah-Sanghchalak Ram Ji Harkare, Nagpur Mahanagar Sanghchalak Rajesh Ji Loya, Sah-Sanghchalak Shridhar Ji Gadge were present on the dais on this occasion.

In his introductory remark, Shridhar Ji Gadge shared his memories about Suresh Ji and cited some of his best qualities. Nagpur Mahanagar Sah Karywah Arvind Ji Kukde conducted the proceedings. The program concluded with RSS prayer.
