On successfully completing the work of the display manufacturing unit of the company in Noida, Samsung’s Southwest Asia President and CEO Ken Kang called upon the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Sunday.

Samsung has invested about 5000 crore rupees since getting the go-ahead from the UP government in December last year. The company already has a mobile manufacturing plant in Noida since 2018.

Samsung is planning to move more of its units to Noida. Its mobile manufacturing plant in Noida is the world’s largest facility.

Since Yogi Adityanath became UP chief minister in March 2017, the UP government has been promoting UP Electronics Manufacturing Policy 2017.

Samsung has received financial incentives to the tune of 800 crore rupees in the last five years.

Its display manufacturing in Noida is only the third facility in the world where OLED screens are assembled.

In his meeting with the Samsung delegation on Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured the company that the state government would continue to extend facilities to the Korean electronics giant.
