In a huge setback to Twitter, which had removed the ‘Blue Tick’ from the profile of RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat, the social media giant was forced to correct in action following a massive public outrage by the Netizens. Twitter had un-verified RSS Sarsanghchalak’s profile claiming that there were no tweets in the past 6 months, while many of the profiles unattended in years were still carrying ‘Blue Ticks’.
Twitter has been accused of behaving in a biased manner and the social media giant had to receive a lot of flank for its actions in the ‘Congress-Toolkit-Episode’,
Also, today Twitter was served the final notice by the ministry of IT for compliance on India’s new IT act.
