In a shocking incident that exposes the West Bengal government’s apathy to the ongoing violence in the state, both the West Bengal Chief Secretary and DGP went to the governor’s office without any report on the violence.

Governor Jagdeep Dhankar had sought a report about the post-poll violence in the state. About the meeting, WB Governor tweeted, “Chief Secretary @MamataOfficial and DGP @WBPolice called on me at Raj Bhawan at 6 PM today. Unfortunately, both came without any paper or reports sought. Directed them to send the same without delay. In a sense disgusted with such a stance. Hope there is an appropriate response now.

Massive violence had been reported on BJP workers throughout the state of West Bengal once the results came out. Thousands of BJP workers had to flee to Assam since they were attacked by the goons of TMC.
