A Pakistani Muslim parent in Italy locked their daughter and threated her with murder for seeing a Hindu male friend, Italian police told the press.
The incident happened in Tuscan city in Italy.
The girl was rescued by the police Thursday.
The parents locked her in the house and took away her phone. She was threatened with murder.
When she was allowed access to a computer for her online classes, she sent an email to the police.
The girl had been seeing her friend for about a year. The girl’s family didn’t have any problem.
Then, one day they got to know the boy was a Hindu.
The girl told the police she was immediately asked by her family to stop seeing him.
She was also threatened that she would be taken back to Pakistan if she didn’t stop seeing him.
The police have taken the custody of the girl for her safety as there was a danger to her life from her father and brothers.
