The voting for the 126 member assembly of Assam has already started. The voter turnout in the first phase on March 27 was 77 per cent.

The remaining two phases are on April 1 & 6. The counting of votes will start on May 2.

The arms and ammunition recovered include three AK 56 and live bullets.
