Visit any venue where a leftist is speaking about democracy, you will get the impression that only the communist parties and their affiliates respect democracy and free speech. With this propaganda machinery, communists made a monopoly over academic institutions and intellectual spaces for so long. But how much democracy do communists practice in daily life? An example has emerged from Kerala where the BJP’s Peravoor assembly constituency candidate was stopped from campaigning in the CPM stronghold of Mudakkozhi.

Peravoor BJP candidate Smitha Jayamohan was stopped and her convoy was attacked by the CPM goons while she was campaigning in the Mudakkozhi area in Kannur District. Kannur district is notoriously known for being a laboratory of CPM’s violent politics.

CPM goons had blocked the roads of Mudakkozhi with huge stones and attacked the convoy of the BJP candidate. The police were present during this unfortunate turn of events, but they didn’t take any action against the CPIM goons.

The video of CPM goons stopping BJP convoy has gone viral on social media.
