India’s first human mission “Mission Gaganyaan” is all set to be launched. For this purpose, four Air Force pilots have completed one year’s training in Russia to go to space under the space human mission ‘Gaganyaan’. One group captain and three wing commanders of the Indian Air Force are part of this training to raise the Indian flag in space on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Hard training to adapt to space conditions

The four Indian Air Force personnel have completed their training to become astronauts at the Russian Space Training Center in the city of Geojani, near Moscow. These four Gagannots have been trained by the Glacrosmos company to adapt to the space conditions. In early training, they have been given basic classes of control over space travel and spacecraft. In addition, the basic Russian language was also studied, so they will not face any difficulty in further training. The health of all the pilots who had been trained was also taken care of. In Russia, the pilots have been trained to deal with astronavigation, extravehicular activity as well as unusual icy, water and plains situation. Pilots have also learned to balance air pressure as well as work in reliable modules and gravitational tolerance.

Gaganyaan module to be trained

After taking training in Russia, the four Gagannauts will be trained in Bengaluru from May to June on their return to India. This module has been made by ISRO itself without any collaboration of any other country. They will be given three kinds of training in India. These will include simulators of crew modules, flight hardware and software. An expert team has been constituted for this. After completion of the training, they will be sent to space through Gaganyaan. Under the Gaganyaan mission, ISRO would launch only three astronauts 400 km from Earth. They Would travel seven days in space. During that, they would be circling the lower orbit of the Earth.

Only three pilots will be selected in the last round

The central government has sanctioned Rs. 10,000 crore for the Gaganyaan project. This month, Union Minister of State for Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh had informed that work is being done this the first kind of mission would be launched by India to send human beings into space under ISRO’s Gaganyaan project. In the last round, only three will be selected, who will be sent to space for a seven-day mission. Total four Indian Air Force officers are being trained in Russia for mission “Gaganyaan” including group commander Nikhil Rath rest three officers are of wing commander rank.

Mission Gaganyaan announced on Independence Day in 2018

Maganyaan is India’s first manned spacecraft programme. It was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day in 2018. ISRO and the Indian Air Force are working together on this mission with a budget of ten thousand crore rupees. The Air Force selected 4 of its 25 pilots and gave it to ISRO. The contract was entered into in June 2019 between ISRO and Russia’s space company Glucksmosmos for their training. The training of these Indian boxers started on 10th February 2020 but these people were isolated in March 2020 due to coronavirus. Later, the training was resumed from 12th May.
