107-years old Kewal Krishan received his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine in a private hospital in Delhi Monday.
He was administered Covishield, manufactured by Pune-based Serum Institute of India.

Krishan ji not only witnessed Bharat’s freedom struggle but was also a member of the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly.

He rose to the position of Deputy Secretary in the Rajya Sabha. Born and brought-up in Kartarpur in the Jalandhar district, he moved to Delhi for his job.

Only five years old when the deadly Spanish Flu of 1918 broke out, he doesn’t remember those days.
It was the first time on Monday he emerged from his house since the lockdown in March last year.
