Until E Sreedharan joined the BJP he was universally accepted as India’s Metro Man, and was feted by all. But the moment he announced his decision to join the world’s largest political party, Leftists and liberals now say that they’re embarrassed by him, and are in a denial mode as far as his contributions are concerned
On February 22, E Sreedharan announced his decision to join BJP
Communist movements have used the popularity of scientists, economists, journalists, poets, writers, thinkers, engineers, technocrats, bureaucrats and film stars to profess their agenda in India and worldwide. They have set up institutions to felicitate them on their achievements, including them in their nexus by default. Amartya Sen, Arundhati Roy, Aruna Roy, Arvind Kejriwal, Mira Nair, Kamal Haasan, Javed Akhtar, Ravish Kumar, Barkha Dutt are a few to name here. As the advent of social media has brought to light all the lies perpetrated in the name of modernisation by Leftist ideologues. The current regime has choked the international funds. The Left-Islamist-Missionary commune is making last ditch attempts to unsettle the Nationalist Government at the Centre by spurring farmers, students and Muslims etc.
The peculiarity of the cabal’s modus operandi is to disown and make a character assassination of the celebrity as soon as he attempts to criticise them or try to ally the other side. Remember the case of MJ Akbar! His past was dug soon he joined the BJP, and he was knocked down in the first attempt itself. He enjoyed all those misdeeds throughout his career as a journalist; it’s a matter of convenience for the Leftist commune to label him wrong or right.
The recent case of the Metro man E Sreedharan saw similar precedence. He is being hounded by the Left cabal the moment he declared his alliance with BJP in Kerala. He unveiled his plans to join active politics by making the following statements:
- “I have decided to join the BJP, just official formalities remain.”
- “I have been living in Kerala for the last ten years, since my retirement. I have seen different governments, and they are not doing what can be done for the people. I am joining the BJP to be able to do my part, using my experience”
- “I want to use my time and experience in making a difference”
- “If Kerala has to develop then, its infrastructure and industries have to develop”
Victim of Character Assassination
Do we find anything here which goes below his stature? Perhaps nothing. The Left and Congress have started his character assassination bringing down his more than 60 years of hard work for the public good. Left-leaning journalist Swati Chaturvedi said she was embarrassed for him; he was spoiling his legacy. “I feel embarrassed for E Sreedharan; why spoil a wonderful legacy by joining the BJP,” she tweeted.
“They are all upright, there are no scandals and above all, they are nation loving people- E Sridharan on BJP! Wonder why the Nation loving people allowed China to build homes in Arunachal and invite ISI to investigate Pathankot! What a fall for E Sreedharan!” Shama Mohamed of Congress tweeted.
NDTV’s Sanket Upadhyay tried to attack Sreedharan over his age. “88-year-old Metro Man E Sreedharan joins BJP. A party that has an electoral cut off of 75. 13 years late to the party?
Nidhi Razdan, the ex-Harvard scammed journo said, she was “so disappointed” while replying to a user’s comment who’d declared that E Sreedharan wasn’t a man of science after he’d spoken about love jihad.
Some other Leftists began attacking Sreedharan, saying that while he wasn’t responsible for The Metro’s success, he was entirely responsible for not connecting it properly to other modes of transport. “The failure to connect properly with other modes of transport, that was 100 per cent Sreedharan.”
Sreedharan is no less sharp; he hit where it pains them most. His most hitting jibe was while delineating Love jihad. When NDTV anchor Sonia Singh asked him about it, he replied, “Yes, Love Jihad is a real trouble, the systematic way of marrying girls by Muslims is a menace for not only Hindus but for Christians as well.” He also criticised other political parties for what he called “blind opposition” and showing India negatively. He said, “Political parties with vested interests are projecting India in a very bad light internationally and opposing just for the sake of opposing. Parties like the Congress are creating a bad image for India”.
From Hero to Villain
Until Sreedharan joined the BJP, he was universally accepted as India’s metro man and was feted by all. But the simple matter of joining the world’s largest political party seems to have set off Left-liberals, who are now openly saying that they’re embarrassed by him but also denying his contributions. But this is nothing new — since 2014, Left-liberals have been outraged each time facts on the ground exposed their fake narratives and then proceeded to take to social media to vent.
Sreedharan came into the spotlight when he worked on restoring the historic Pamban bridge in Tamil Nadu, after a cyclone damaged it. The Konkan Railway project, cutting through almost impossible terrain, was completed by him in a fourth of the time initially assessed.
Sreedharan is widely acknowledged as one of the architects of modern India, having built the challenging Konkan Railway and then spearheading the Delhi metro construction, finishing it within the stipulated budget time. For these efforts, he’s been awarded the Padma Shri in 2001, named one of Asia’s heroes by the Time Magazine in 2003, conferred France’s Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur in 2005, and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. Remember all these achievements came after his retirement, and he is physically and mentally fit than an average middle-aged man. But for India’s Left-liberal lobby, all this counts for nothing after he’s joined the BJP in 2021.
India’s Left-liberal cabal has been in a state of suspended outrage for the last seven years since the Narendra Modi-led BJP is in power. Their pain just doesn’t seem to stop as their so-called domain of elite class has started allegiance with BJP seeing their holistic development approach and nationalist nature, as Sreedharan said in his interview, “Have you ever heard Modi citing a single word against any religion or community?”
All this has been very amusing for the rest of India to watch, and given how the country’s best and brightest continue to join the BJP, this liberal outrage could continue for many years to come until they are completely uprooted because of their self-destructive nature, and they stand exposed completely.
