Andhra Pradesh has been in news recently for vicious attacks on Hindu temples and state-sponsored religious conversion activities. But finally, good news has emerged from the state. A poor woman from Andhra Pradesh, named Annapoornamma, who works as a daily labourer has contributed for the construction of Bhavya Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
Annapoornamma lives along with her son in a very small house. Her husband had died earlier. A son had recently passed away due to Corona. Her son (second son) is also engaged in some small profession. No matter how small her family is, her heart is so big. She may be poor in terms of wealth but not for charity. She donated an amount of Rs. One lakh, the amount she saved from her hard-earned income. This happened in Vijayanagaram.
Recently, some unidentified thugs destroyed the idol of Sri Ramachandra at Ramalayam on Ramathirtham Bodikonda in Nellimarla Mandal, Vijayanagar District, Andhra Pradesh. Sri Sri Sri Vishwa Prasanna Tirtha Swamy, the presiding dean of the famous Udupi Pejawar math in Karnataka, visited the temple. On that occasion, he participated in an event organized by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra at Venkateswara Temple in Vijayanagar. Annapoornamma handed over a check of Rs. 1 lakh through Swamiji to Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra as her share of funds for the construction of Shri Ram Mandir.
