Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) on Friday condemned the vandalising of a Hindu temple in Karak district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. IUML National President Kader Mohideen, in a statement, said that the enactment of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in India by the BJP-led union government was vindicated by the act.
“The dastardly attack on the holy place of Hindu community in Pakistan obviously justifies the Government of India’s accusation that religious minorities are suppressed and forced to migrate seeking asylum in India and passing of the enactment of CAA”, the statement read. IUML strongly condemned the razing down of Hindu temple situated in the vicinity of the renowned Hindu sage known as Paramhans in a distinct village in Karak.
Kader Mohideen appealed to his fellow Muslim brothers in Pakistan that “Pakistan Muslim brothers ought to understand that the pride of the majority lies in the protection of the minorities’ honourable existence,” he said. He also mentioned that “The Holy Quran and Holy Prophet Muhammad have clearly stated that the religion of Islam does not confront but confirms all the religions of the world. This is to be conveyed to the Pakistani Muslims.”
In a rather strange manner, the IUML president appreciated the Pakistan government for condemning the riots against Hindus. But the truth remains unattended that Pakistani political parties are playing into the game of Islamic fundamentalists by being a mute spectator to the atrocities against Hindus.
